The STK Web Map Service Plugin by Analytical Graphics, Inc. extends Systems Tool Kit (STK) with native access to OGC-compliant Web Map Service (WMS) layers. It enables analysts to connect to public or enterprise WMS endpoints, browse service capabilities, and stream selected layers directly into STK’s 2D and 3D windows. Users can configure common WMS parameters—such as layer selection, styles, image format, resolution, transparency, and draw order—and drape the resulting imagery over terrain or display it as map overlays.
By bringing authoritative, up-to-date geospatial content into STK scenarios, the plugin adds real-world context to mission design and analysis. Typical applications include overlaying weather products, land-use and land-cover maps, oceanographic charts, and aeronautical or maritime boundaries to enhance coverage studies, line-of-sight assessments, route planning, and sensor visualization.
